The Media

Hannah started her media career whilst at school in Wiltshire presenting the children’s show on Radio Odstock, Salisbury’s hospital radio. In her final year she was also awarded a scholarship with the BBC World Service to research, produce, edit and then air a special feature on the region.

Hannah has built on these foundations and is now a regular presenter on both BBC Radio Solent and BBC South television. On BBC Radio Solent she features as both sailing correspondent and regular guest. Last year she co-presented from Cowes Week and for the Bicentennial Trafalgar Celebrations. For BBC South television Hannah recorded a slot for the start of the Volvo Ocean Race in October 2005 and will be presenting a number of sailing features throughout the course of the summer.

Hannah’s experience with the media has enabled her to make the most of the opportunities she has had to promote her sailing career.
